Where you wanna go is where I wanna be

So I haven't updated this in forever. You probably thought that it would just be lost in the huge void of informative nothingness that is the internet huh? Well it won't be lost. Its coming back... with a vengeance! Not really, its just a nice ass way to not do homework.

Since I've been down at school again, quite a bit has happened. I got an apartment with some good friends: Stubbs, Anthony, and Gowdy. Its nice and its really become a home... We've thrown a few "get togethers." One of them happened this past weekend. I won't include names but we had an alright crowd going. We got a Beer Pong table, so we naturally had to have a Beer Pong Tournament! But later into the night the power went out and some kids in the apartment complex tried to light shit on fire, more specifically a tree. So the cops came, the party came to a halt, and everyone was sleeping as comfortably as they could be...

Its kind of funny how we're so quick on our feet when it comes to certain things. Or at least thinking we are. Theres stuff that kind of creeps up on you when you least expect it and there are other things you could prepare for(like a hurricane) but still get knocked on your ass. Lifes such a bitch. Things come when you least expect them but everything has to be balanced - even the good and the bad... meh

But if these past few weekends have taught me anything its that you can't always look after everyone else and put yourself second. Doing that does nothing but create things that aren't there. Which is easy to do and get caught up into. I'm gonna have to step on a few toes sometime and not just look the other way... Not that I'm the nicest guy in the world, I'll admit I'm an ass, but putting other things before what you truly want isn't a good thing. So I guess from now on I gotta get a little more aggressive about things. This is when shit gets serious, no more fucking around - this ain't no fucking game! haha

Damn working 10 hour days really takes a lot out of me. I haven't really been up to too much recently, just working for the most part. I finally got my first paycheck yesterday... I made more in two and a half days at Ventline than I ever did in a week at Target - just a little under $300! Haha... working a full week will make the checks a lot nicer... I think I'll be able to get enough cash to pay rent for the whole year down in Bloomington but who knows...

Well I'm finally getting use to the work schedule of 10 hours from Monday-Saturday and 8 hours on Saturday..ugh... Its not so bad but I somehow tore the shit out of my shoulder and right arm - the pain usually wakes me up every night around 2-3 am but its slowly getting better.. Well I'm gonna go relax and get some sleep sone.

Change Clothes

What a change huh? Well I wasn't really planning on changing the site design anytime soon... actually I never really thought too much of it but I did it! . I think I'll keep it around for a while - I really like it. What do you think? Well sign the guestbook and let me know, I want some input and some more guest book signings damn it! I also got a new hit counter so its down to zero again.

But heres how I got to change the site design: Anthony was over here, like always, and he said something about changing the template for his blogger site. So we both were looking on blogger and didn't find anything new. Since that came up short we decided to see if there were any web sites that offered different templates, I mean we figure that blogger is a pretty popular site and some people have had to take it upon themselves to make different templates right? Right. So we found a few different sites and saved a few different templates. I started working on it but I wasn't too thrilled about the colors they had and the picture they had provided and the layout and... well I wasn't too happy with the details so I messed with it and came up with what you see. It took a little bit of time.... ok, so it took about 2 hours to do the picture fix the colors and layout but I'm pretty happy with what I got done. Now all I have to do is start studying for finals....

Erin - nah, I didn't get the new D12 CD. I never really listened to the first one so I wasn't too sure how this one would be. If its any good then let me know and I'll check it out.

Song of the Day: "Be Easy" by T.I.
"I'm 22 and a vet in the game
Say I'm, supercoo', still a threat at the same
Time, rhyme bout the times I invested in 'caine
Pleasure and pain in every aspect of the game
I'm the answer to yo prayers if you prayin' for change
So, I dare you compare us and say we the same
When I'm, climbin' the ladder, they stuck in the same
Mindframe, they accomplishments are nothin' to gain
Eventually, see I'm outta yo range
Except this rose gold glow from my wrist and my chain
I entertain young niggaz who slang
Like a picture, no frame, see it's simple and plain
My shit bang, spit flames, put niggaz to shame
Flow so insane, lyrics sick and derranged
Now you can't, mention my city unless you mention my name
T-I-P-I-M-P, I'm the man"

Dead Week

So this is the last week of classes before finals. Well nothing has really happened. I haven't really been studying as much as I should... but I still have some time to get work done. It seems crazy to think that by next week I'll be home. I'll be glad to leave the dorm and I really need a break from school. I just want to be able to bum around on the weekends without anything hanging over my head or not having to feel guilty for not staying in and studying...

The only thing worth noting this week is that I scheduled my classes for next semester. I'm really happy about my schedule, I'm taking 15 hours and I won't have any classes on Monday and only 1 class on Wednesday. It looks like I'll be having 3 day weekends haha. But my tuesdays and thursdays will be a little troublesome with 4 classes on each day. But for the most important day of the week, Friday, I'll only have 3 lecture classes and I'll be done at about 2 PM. Oh yeah, no really early classes for me either, the earliest classes I have start at about 10 AM so that should be nice. Scheduling for me was pretty easy, I think I got my first choice for time for all of them but some people aren't so lucky... Stubbs was going crazy over here yesterday. Everything he wanted to take was full and he refused to take any early classes. Gowdy was also going back and forth on what last class he should take - I've never seen some one so determined to take an ice skating class...

Well now its time for me to rant a little bit about random stuff. I got the new 8Ball & MJG album, "Living Legends." Its pretty good, better than I thought it'd be. I watched the fourth game in the Timberwolves/Nuggets series last night. It looks like the T'wolves will finally get out of the first round - much deserved. The next series they have is going to be nice, it should be against the Kings but who knows... Well thats about it for this short update. I gotta get to studying.

Incoming

So I didn't update by Wednesday... ahh! Well its hard to do much of anything when there are basketball games almost every night. 40 games in 40 nights, its like I'm in heaven!... except I have finals coming up soon. Oh well, thats school for ya and I got do what I can to get through. But this past weekend was the last big weekend to go out and party because next weekend everyone will be studying for finals, or if you're in my class taking one on Saturday. So what'd we do this weekend? Well Thursday night we tried to get something for that night. People said they would call us when they found something, except they didn't. I guess that's what happens when you're too lazy to go out yourself. But its alright, we had definite plans for Friday!

Friday, after my class we were gonna go to the Man Hammer house to partake in Power Hour! Whats Power Hour? Well its this drinking game where everyone takes a shot of beer, yeah beer, every minute for an hour. It sounds pretty simple and like it wouldn't really do much but trust me, you'll feel it. Another issue we tried to figure out was when would we know to drink again? Well, thanks to Chris we found out - he made a CD that has 60 sec snippets of songs, every time a new song came on we took another shot. Damn, it seems like every minute takes an hour at first then once you get 40 mins into it, the shots just keep coming and coming. But that really fucked me up. After that some of us went out onto the roof. After a while I decided to go jump on the trampoline. It was nice but then Fat Megan, who was chubby not really fat, came on the trampoline... terror ensued. She landed on my damn nice shirt with her foot and her toenails tore threw the sleeve. Oh well, we got some more beer and had some more fun. I finally really met Seevers, Mikey, and Jeff. They were cool guys.

Saturday we started early again, went over to Brena's boyfriend's house. Seevers kept talking shit about being good at flippy cup so we made some teams and played. His team won the first game but who's team came back and won the next two? Yeah that's right, my team! After that Seevers and I played some beer pong against some people... he had never played, which wouldn't be too big of a deal except we filled our cups all the way up and we sucked. We got our asses kicked and ended up drinking about 1.5-2 pitchers of beer in like 30 mins. I started feeling it but then something wasn't feeling so right... oh that's right, I took medicine before going to the party - maybe that wasn't the best idea? So I ended up not drinking a whole lot but I was damn hungry... Good thing they had the grill fired up and were making hamburger and hot dogs. Well after spending most of the day there I came back and ate at McDonalds with mostly everyone. Then I pretty much called it a night, everyone else was going to another party but I wasn't too much into it. I came back and watched some basketball, talked to some people, and then tried to sleep... I don't know, I couldn't sleep really and I ended up being awake when Stubbs got home at about 3. He told me about the party they had gone to, it wasn't all that great... oh well. I had a nice weekend and it was definitely nice meeting gowdy's friends. They were good guys who I'm sure I'll be hanging out with more back home.

So now its all about school. I'm not too worried about finals, I'm not too sure why. I have my first final on Tuesday and then my next on Saturday. Oh well, I'll be home before I know it. I'm trying to get a job for home right now and I think I might be able to get one out in Bristol... But my sister tells me that I can apply at the Hummer plant so I'll try that too. Once I'm home I dunno how updating this will go, I'm sure everyone who reads it will be seeing me but I plan on trying to update every Tuesday and Thursday. I guess we'll see how that goes...

One last thing: I've been having really really weird dreams lately. They've ranged from being caught having sex to trying to learn how to use an alien phone to being a criminal on the run from cops to fighting Venom from Spider-Man to collecting coke money from Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston to thinking I'm the hulk. Damn its been really strange... Maybe if they keep up I'll start writing about them in here, they're all pretty entertaining. Well that's all for me - this week, dead week, should make it easier for me to update so check back soon.

Distant Lover

Hell yeah, this was my kind of weekend damn it! Damn a lot happened really... Since no ones updated with what happened I guess I'll takeo n the task, although I still welcome gowdy and anthony to write about it since they have a way of telling the stories better than I do. Well this past weekend there were a lot of guests down here at IU. But before they all came we had our fun too... this time it started on Thursday night..

So Thursday night Well Fed, the band from the Man Hammer house, was going to be playing at Rhino's along with two other bands. We all decided to head down there to see them. Well we got there a little too early so we ended up walking over to an awesome bookstore, Boxcar Books I think... Well this place had awesome, diversre stuff. Books, magazines, comics, t-shirts, everything. We spent a lot of time in there and before we knew it the show was about to start. So we went and saw all the bands play. The Man Hammer guys were just as entertaining on stage as they were back in their house, they even make small talk during the songs - it was like skits on a CD! So after that we were on a mission to find a party with Marla, Martha, and the Man Hammer crew. After making a brief stop at the Man Hammer house we went over to the Lad Mallet house to help someone celebrate their 20th birthday. I bet you're thinking whats up with the names of these houses huh? Your guess is as good as mine. Anyway, this party was good size when we got there. The lines for the kegs weren't too bad - they even had light and dark beer. So after drinking more cups of dark than light I found myself rapping along to Jurassic 5 again. I even ran into Beth from my Public Speaking class, second party I've ran into her at. Well after drinking a bit more, playing foosball, and just talking to everyone I decided to call it a night before everyone else and came home. But as I was leaving I saw Stubbs working his magic on some girl who invited everyone to a party the next night so I went home with thoughts of the Pirate Party...

Friday was pretty quick for me. I wasn't hung over but I decided to just sit aroudn the room, clean a little bit for our guests that were coming. After a while Tony and Hunter made it here from Purdue. An hour or so later Erin Wyne came from Elkhart. We walked down to kirkwood and got some dinner at the Village Deli - man they have great sandwichs but awful service. After dinner we made our rounds to the dorm to get ready for the Pirate Party. Once we looked as piratey as we could(pretty much consisted of wearing a bandana "pirate" style) we made our way to the party. It wasn't too hard to find and it seemed like there was barely anyone there... but thats alright, short lines for the keg make up for the lack of people. Before I knew it I was caught up in a drinking game, which was new to me - Flippy Cup! It basically consists of two teams, each member of the team has a cup of beer that they have to drink they flip the cup and make it land on its... uh opening? Well its a relay game and my team was bad ass. We won all six games! So after playing that for a while I walked out to get more beer and it seemed like there were twice as many people there. After a while the two kegs ran dry... but Marla and Martha came to the rescue with another party. No one seemed to want to go except me so I just went with them and a group which mostly consisted of drunk loud ass girls. Well on the way to next party I saw a cop car pass, uh oh... The closer I got to the party the more it became apparent why the cop was in the neighborhood, this party was packed with people and a live band! Well after staying at this party enough to realize it would take hours to get a cup of beer due to the line at the keg we decided to leave, plus Marla was pretty sure it was going to get busted. We were about to leave when the rest of the group sans Stubbs was trying to find this place. They found it and we made our way to a safe location - the Man Hammer. We only stayed long enough so I could pee then we were on our way back home. Right after we left the Man Hammer we heard a cop siren off in the distance... the way towards the last party we just left. Good thing we left huh? After walking for a few we met up with Stubbs at the VP, got some snacks and headed to Gowdy's. I called it a night early again and walked Marla and Martha home. Came home and had a nice phone call for a while...

Woke up Saturday and had some late afternoon breakfast with everyone. It was a beautiful day so Stubbs, Tony, Hunter, and I decided to take it to the basketball court! If you've never seen me do a double pump lay up then you're missing out! Haha... after a while the basketball became a soccer ball and Hunter showed up why we should all fear his skills. After a while the rest of this weekends guests showed up, the Gowdys! G-Baby's mom, dad, and little sister came down to see him compete in the Little 50 on Sunday. The gowdys went on a walk while the rest of us stayed in the room to finish watching Kill Bill Vol. 1. A little after it was over we got a call from the Gowdys, they were ready for dinner. Well nate took off with his running team so the rest of us went to Mother Bears. If you're ever down here then you have to go to Mother Bears. The pizza there is probably one of the top three pizzas I've ever had. After that the rest of the night consisted of walking around with the group, Gowdy's parents decided to head to the Union while the rest of us took a nice stroll around campus. Man this campus is really nice looking... the walk was pretty uneventful but this extremely drunk hostile looking guy approached us at one point but all he did was ask us if we knew where Spritzer, Indiana was. None of us really knew but then he just stumbled his ass away. Well Stubbs, Erin, Lauren, and I came back to the room to get some sleep..

Then Sunday, the day of the big race! Lauren's parents called early to see if she wanted to get breakfast... I answered the phone and I thought she said she did so I told them she did, rurns out she really didn't want to though - hey it was early, I couldn't really tell is she was nodding yes or shaking her head no. Went back to sleep for a few then got up and had some late breakfast with Stubbs and Erin. The Gowdys came back to the room and got Lauren's stuff to take off towards the race. We met up with Anthony, Tony, and Hunter down at Urban Outfitters and hung around there for a little bit. Went back to G-Baby's dorm to get all his team t-shirts to show our support. We walked back to Wright to pick up Erin's car, she was gonna drive us to the track, and we walked through a lawn littered with beautiful women trying to get a tan... ahh, too bad we all looked like douches in our matching t-shirts. So then we all pile into Erin's SUV and head towards the track. We tried to pull into the track parking lot, thought we couldn't and had to make an evasive manuever to get into the parking lot across the street. Too bad the people behind us weren't paying attention because they sure as hell rear ended Erin's SUV! None of us were really hurt... well Tony was in the back back and he was taken a little by the hit but I gave him some special medicine haha! Then came the race. Gowdy's team Pi Omega Tau(get it? POT!) had quite the following. We cheered and they did an awesome job. I have to admit Gowdy impressed me, he passed more people than anyone else on his team. There was also an Army ROTC guy that ran about oh... 25 laps. See the race is 50 laps around the track thats to be divided among 4 team members. But after that we had to say our goodbyes to G-Baby's family and to the Egginks for a few weeks. Before long though we had to go see DAVE CHAPPELLE here at the IU Auditorium though! It proved to be just what I thought, bad ass! After that had some dinner with everyone and watched the T'Wolves beat the Nuggets in the first game of their playoff series. Damn this week is going to be nice with so much basketball on.

So that was my weekend. I'm not sure if that was my longest entry ever but damn its up there. Next weekend should prove to be pretty exciting too.. I hear it gets a little crazy down here for Little 500. Sorry I haven't updated too often lately, I'll have to get my ass in gear and I will. I'll definitely update by Wednesday at the latest. Why am I saying sorry...? I don't really know to be honest but sign the guestbook and let me know if you accept the apology or not.

Not a lot

Its almost been a week since I last updated. I guess I've been too lazy... oh well. This past weekend I went home. Why would I go home with only a few weeks left of school? Well it was partly because I wanted to take stuff back but Anthony also wanted to head home so we both went. It was a nice weekend, I mostly relaxed and hung out with people. Talked to my parents about this summer and next year... quit my job at Target. Driving back to Bloomington wasn't too bad... while driving on 31 I saw a cop cut through the median, do a U-Turn and turn his lights on. At first I thought he had caught me going 30 over... but he was helping some car that was off on the side of the road. Close call eh? Other than that the drive was mostly filled with stress inducing music to anthony - rap!

So whats been going on in Bloomington this week? Well it was Gowdy's birthday yesterday. From now on I'll be referring to him as G-Baby - if you know gowdy then you know how much this name applies. Since he was turning 20 and hes never been to a strip club we thought we'd bring the strip club to him. We being Stubs, Anthony, and I. We only had half an hour left to celebrate so we went over to his room and gave him his present. A dance that will go down in history as the most seductive gyration of hips that god ever produced. Stubbs even brought a prop for it - a banana in his pants! Other than that this week has been a pretty typical week for me. At least I got Kill Bill and a CD of Kanye instrumentals to liven things up a bit...

So when did the FCC become such fuckers? Just because Janet Jackson flashed a nipple the country has become so concerned about decency and being moral. Yeah I know we have to save the children but since when does seeing a nipple kill someone? I don't know about you but after I saw that nipple I just became immoral and wanted to go out and rape the first woman I saw!... how fucking retarded does that sound? We aren't going to corrupt kids with the shot of a nipple, hell aren't most kids breast fed in the first place? Whats going to corrupt kids is the shit they go through when most parents get divorced. But there are things that probably shouldn't be on TV... like showing a rap video that tells everyone to pass a certain type of drink. Yeah its just a song but the sale of the drink went up after it came out and I bet a bunch of "kids" were curious to try it. So after this little rant I just have one thing to say. The FCC is full of shit, if they want to do something good then provide Al Franken with a show to combat the shit that O'Riley spews all the damn time - but don't fine a broadcaster to the point they have to drop a program... like Howard Stern or even the Victoria Secret event. I want to see shit damn it and if seeing a nipple is terrible then cover that nipple with a nice push up bra from VS!
